Master Classes In Tapestry Technique and Design
Thursdays Oct. 16, 23, Nov. 6, Nov. 20, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Drawing for Tapestry:  Thursdays Oct. 30, Nov. 13, 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Elizabeth Buckley’s studio in Albuquerque, NM

The Master Classes provide the opportunity for in-depth study of tapestry technique and design, formatted to provide time at home in between sessions to weave and to develop ideas generated during each class.  Expanded to all day, to allow even more time for design explorations, group critiques and discussions as well as individual attention at the loom.  We will continue going deeper into how to synchronize technique with design principles around gradations, illusory space, line quality, as well as use of color.

Accompanying the Master Classes will be two drawing classes, focused specifically on drawing for tapestry.  We will further explore the use of the pencil to create shaded areas, a sense of planes and three-dimensional form, and drawing as if we were weaving.

Teaching Fee for all classes:  $428.00 (sales tax included)
Materials Fee:  $32.10 (sales tax included) for art supplies and weft yarns
