Drawing as Meditation: Sharpening the Eye to See

A weekly class held at Elizabeth Buckley's studio, Albuquerque, NM

Mondays 10:00 am - noon

Session I:  January 6 - February 10, 2014

Session II:  February 24 - March 31, 2014
Session III:  April 7 - May 12, 2014

Drawing is a practice in observation and focus; a way of fine-tuning the eye to see.  Come learn the language of line, and how the pencil can articulate edge, shadow, shape, form, and texture. From the horizon line to a blade of grass, we will explore different approaches to drawing and how the pencil can articulate what we observe.  Come experience how drawing can become a way of putting thoughts on paper.

This is a safe and supportive environment for those with no previous art experience.   We will start with the basics, with each session building on the previous one. There is no such thing as an awful line!   Come with a sense of wonder and play.

Those who think they cannot draw will discover they can.
